Toyota: Not as Green as You Think
Truth About Toyota is a coalition of environmental organizations committed to increasing fuel efficiency standards for the U.S. car and light truck fleet. Unfortunately, Toyota, the world's leading automaker and leader in advanced vehicle technology, is working to block the first meaningful increase in U.S. fuel economy in 30 years. We are calling on Toyota to live up to its self-professed "green" reputation and set the industry standard by supporting the Senate-passed Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) provisions.

Calling for a 35 mpg fuel efficiency standard by 2020
Thu, Oct 25 —It really is a shame that Toyota is trying to block the increase in CAFE standards. The truth is, it's time for change and the change needs to start now. I am working for a coalition to ensure that the CAFE standards pass calling for a 35 mpg fuel efficiency standard by 2020. We can all do our part by contacting our representatives directly (I don't think we can count on Toyota to stop lobbying) by signing the petition at: www.energybill2007.org.
